People and their behaviours.

Ha! After more than half a year not being able to get ahold of each other, I finally talked to Alexa for a few hours today. Glad to be able to see her again. After all, she's one of the closest friends from the old days. You define the term "old days" =P

Moving on, getting closer to the subject above:
I just had the most annoying conversation last night.
An acquintance of mine, an Indonesian who lived in the USA, just went back to Indonesia for good about a week ago. I called him and here's the conversation:

Me: "Hey! Don't give me empty promises. You told me you were going to contact me the instant you're here!"
The guy: "Oh. I'm busy."
Me: "Busy? You're not working yet, are you?"
The guy: "Yes, I'm busy. Visiting my dear beloved girlfriend."
Me: "Oh really? You've had a girlfriend now? What's her name?"
The guy (with not-so-friendly tone): "Why? Does it matter?"
Me: "Huh? I just want to know."
The guy: "What for?"
Me: "So that I know when I meet her."
The guy: "I'll just introduce you to her later."

At this point, I was a bit irritated. It's not that I care about WHO his girlfriend is or WHAT her name is, but why should he say, "Does it matter?".
Anyway, I kept on conversing. We talked about something else.

Towards the end of the conversation, I asked "Did you start dating while in US or here in Indonesia?"
The guy: "Why? Does it matter?"
I was like : "Oh my God, what's the matter with you, I was just asking."
The guy: "I have a girlfriend now. Does it matter?"

Honestly, my heart jumped to my head at that time. But I, of course, tried hard to control it. I was silent, and finally I said, "OK. Whatever," lowly, almost without intonation.
And a moment later, I cut his sentence, excused myself, and hung up the phone.

Can you believe that?
*shakes head*

I've found too many ignorant, insensitive, egoistic, mean people lately. I wonder why.

I lived in SoCal for only 1 year, after my graduation. I moved about 3 times while in SoCal. The first 3 months was spent in Irvine. The next 11 months was spent in La Habra. Then I was only able to enjoy a few days in Pasadena before I had to go to Indonesia (apparently for good, since my visa got rejected). So the Pasadena apartment was empty for the next 5 months. What a waste, wasn't it? Oh well *shrugs*
