I don't celebrate Halloween either, I used to take out my nephew for a couple of hours and then stay in with my boyfriend to catch whatever horror flicks are on that night. We turn off all the lights because if kids see even a glimmer of a light, they will pound on your door for candy. :)
However, I do celebrate the day after Halloween, which I call "Half-Price Candy Day". I work at a big grocery store and the day after major holidays is when all the theme candy goes 50-75% off. Trick or treating lost its fun when I could buy my own damn candy. :D
