Finally, mom is discharged tomorrow (Sunday) morning! ばんざーい!☆ \(@^0^@)/ ♪~
We're going home at last! I'm so happy I could dance ~~

Did you see me dancing? *lol*

During this one week in the hospital, I went home once last Thursday, spending a very precious one night (only 12 hours) before going back to the hospital again. My bro substituted me that night. It was very refreshing, being able to sleep on my own comfy bed, after spending 4 straight nights at the hospital.

Actually we're not planning to go straight home after being discharged. We plan to have lunch, followed by a relaxing body massage (oh yes!!), and Sunday mass at Canisius Chapel, 6pm. After that, we'll have dinner at Pand'Or (because my mom wants to buy their delicious Carousel so much!) before we go home ^^
I wanted to sleep all day long on Monday, but I have 2 meetings that day. Oh well, can't slack off all the time :P

Right now I'm sleepless, most probably because I'm excited to finally leave this hospital! xD
And even though I've eaten lots, I'm still hungry and been eating every 2-3 hours since this afternoon! This is baaad...

Oh! And just when I was about to leave, somehow the wifi signal is getting better and better in this hospital room! It's been showing 5 bars (full signal) the whole day today, although with some disconnections in between. Up until yesterday, the highest signal I got in the room was 3-4 bars. But I'm not gonna miss it, coz there's still nothing better than being home! (And plus, I have 2 internet connections I can abuse at home xD)
elyse: (rosa kato: hello!)
Well, hello!

I've been staying in Medistra hospital since the evening of Feb 22nd, so this is the fourth day.

Quick surgery report:

Mom's kidney stone major surgery on Feb 23rd went well. She spent about 3 hours inside the surgery & recovery room, so I think the surgery itself took about 2 - 2.5 hours. After that, she was moved to the ICU for monitoring, spent a night there, and moved back to room #501 at 9am on the following day. Her condition is good, only the part around the incised wound area hurts very much, so she can't mobilize a lot & must stay intact for the post-incised wound to recover asap.
With that being said, I think she will be dismissed no sooner than Sunday.

I've been inside the hospital (and never once taken a step out) since I came in on Feb 22, and I must say that by now I'm really very bored!
I did bring my 1TB harddisk external full of dorama, movies, and other videos, but I haven't got the urge to see them. All I wanna do is go back home and sleep on my comfortable bed. After all, nothing is better than being home! I miss home already ;_;

Although I have 24/7 connection to the internet via my Blackberry, for some unknown reasons my Bold keeps going on SOS mode every so often, especially inside room #501. It's really weird! The BIS connection goes up and down a lot, too. So I can't really get online much.

Actually there's wifi connection on the 5th, 7th, and 8th floor, but the signal in this room is really very bad (like only 1 bar or 2 at most!). It gets better if I go outside the room. So everytime I want to get online, I must bring my (dad's, actually) laptop out to the nurse station/5th floor reception area until my laptop battery runs out. Too bad there's no lounge on 5th floor. I'm too lazy to go to 7th or 8th floor lounge area, so I usually just sit at the corner of the nurse station, borrowing a chair from the nurses :P

This evening will be the first time I set my feet out from the hospital, to attend Ash Wednesday mass at St. Theresia at 6pm. A breathe of fresh air, finally!

elyse: (nana: hachi - friendship)
After 6 days of not being able to sleep properly, I finally had a good quality of sleep yesterday.
Thank God, because the next time I can have good quality of sleep is when mom will be dismissed from the hospital, which is around next week. Mom will enter the hospital tomorrow, have the major surgery on the following day (23 Feb), and will stay around 6 days (hopefully less) for recovery. I will spend most nights there, with probably having 1-2 nights substituted by my brother. For sure, I won't be able to sleep well at the hospital.

Anyhow, it's already 6.20 AM and I haven't slept yet although I have to wake up before 9!
I wanted to write this before I forget...

I had a beautiful conversation with God during my one-hour prayer 3 hours ago. Reflecting on how my close friends had been taken away one by one since 2 years ago (which mostly still remain as friends until today, but not as close anymore), I asked God, "How do I keep on trusting people with all my heart? Because each time I trust a friend completely, I always end up being betrayed... And then I have to do it all over again and my trust might slowly fade away with each try and I would end up not trusting anyone at the end of the day."

I heard Him reply, "I never betray you."

That didn't really answer my question, but my heart is content :3

"There are those relationships that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous..."
